Trekking Hoang Su Phi 5 jours

Hoang Su Phi trekking 5 days will be your most memorable experience when traveling to Vietnam. From villages to villages passing by stunning landscapes, meeting with the different minorities ethnic groups on the way is a fascinating adventure. 

 Day 1 > Thong Nguyen – Nam Nghi – Nam Hong

In the early morning, the car picks you up at your hotel in Hanoi and the journey begins to Hoang Su Phi district and more precisely to Thong Nguyen, a small picturesque village in the North. Arrival on site for lunch with a host family. Then the trek starts passing through Nam Nghi village and up to Nam Hong via a mountainside trail. Dinner will be taken with the locals, with the Ma Pan Tan minority.

Day 2 > Nam Hong – Nam Khoa – Nam Ai

After breakfast, the hike resumes passing through the rice fields to the village of Nam Khoa . You will discover on the way the daily life of the Ma Pan Tan minorities and the Dao with their long tunics. Lunch will be taken with a local family. Back on the trails to the village of Nam Ai, you can contemplate the century-old tea trees. Special variety of tea famous in North Vietnam, Shan Tuyet tea that you can taste on site. The dinner and the night will be spent with a Dao family with long tunics.

Day 3 > Nam Ai – Seo Phin – Ho Thau

The trek continues downhill to the village of Nam Son to take a suspension bridge that will take you to a village inhabited by the Flower H’mong with whom you will have lunch. On the way that will end in Ho Thau, you will discover the daily life of the Nung, Dao and H’mong . The night will be spent with the locals, either the Nung or H’mong in bloom, depending on availability.

Day 4 > Ho Thau – Banh Van – Suoi Thau

The day resumes for a hike of 5 to 6 hours in the middle of fantastic landscapes and exceptional nature which will take you to the village of Suoi Thau, inhabited by the Flower H’mong . Around the village, you will contemplate the largest rice terraces of Hoang Su Phi, simply splendid! The trails will also pass by rivers, a bamboo forest, a waterfall, and the impressive Ban Luoc Gate of Heaven . If lunch will be taken with a Ma Pan Tan family, dinner and the night will be taken with a Flower H’mong family .

Day 5 > Suoi Thau – Ban Luoc – Su Phi – Hanoi

After breakfast, a last two-hour hike in the mountains of North Vietnam will take you to the village of Su Phi. You will have lunch there before taking the car that will take you back to Hanoi for a late afternoon arrival. End of round. (it is possible to travel Hanoi – Hoang Su Phi by local bus for a lower cost if necessary).
