7:00 – Pick up the guests from hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and start the trip to Mai Chau. You will have a stop in Thung Khe Pass for a spectacular view of Mai Chau Valley. During the stop, you can see the local stands selling typical products. Take a chance to try one of the local specialties, the “Com Lam”, sticky rice cooked in bamboo.
Arrival in Mai Chau which is considered the capital of the Thai people. Check in and have lunch in the traditional house on stilts with specialties of the Northwest mountains. Take a small rest to relax by the pool or a quick walk in the narrow alleys to admire the local life.
Start the cycling tour to discover the beautiful Mai Chau valley. You will pass through fields and villages and get the opportunity to discover more about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai ethnic group. Take a break to visit brocade production facilities made by locals. You are welcome to visit the shops and to buy souvenirs from this unique place.
Your next destination is Chieu Cave aslo known as the Thousand Steps Cave. From the foot of the moutain, you will climb to reach the moutain’s peak from where you can enjoy the fantastic view of Mai Chau valley.

- Pu Luong Nature Reserve ( joined group) $45/person
Only 40km from Mai Chau, The Pu Luong Nature Reserve opens its arms to nature lovers. Named as the Small Sapa, the Reserve is rich in fauna and flora. With its highest peak up to 1700m, this mountainous area is absolutely stunning. Mountains covered by tropical jungle, huge rice fields terraces, bamboo and palm trees forest and the stream zigzagging in the valley offer an incredible show.
7:00 – Pick up from your homestay to go to Pu Luong Nature Reserve.
8:00 – 12:00 – Arrive in Pu Luong Eco Garden, drop your luggage and start your trek through beautiful rice terraces and local villages. You will have chance to enjoy view of infinity rice terrace and explore a hiddle village Kho Muong and understand how special this place is. After walking around the village you will walk to the entrance of the Bat Cave, the largest cave in the area. You can explore deep inside and see the rock formation as the vegetation grows inside.
12:00 – Back to Pu Luong Eco Garden for Lunch. After lunch you will have free time to relax in the infinity pool or walking around the village.
14:45 – 16:00 – Board the van to go back to Mai Chau, Hanoi or Ninh Binh
- Pa Co Sunday Market ( private tour) $55/person
Pa Co Village is a big “Black and Red” H’mong” community living 30km away from Mai Chau. Pa Co Village is famous for its fair market every Sunday morning – called as “Pa Co Sunday Market” occurring from 6am to 10am. Visiting H’mong’s Pa Co Sunday market, visitors will see H’mong boys and girls in their traditional colorful costumes going to the market to buy, sell essential items and especially see their lovers. Pa Co Sunday market is special to not only tourists but also local people for its unique spiritual significance. Visiting this market, you will get a chance to discover the colorful and unique H’mong ‘s culture.
07:00 =Be ready at the meeting point in Mai Chau and board the bus. Following the highway 6 to drive to Pa Co village.
08:00 = Arrive in Pa Co sunday market, exploring Pa Co market which is small in size but full of habitué for the Sunday markets which is renowned for textiles, costumes and haberdashery for Blue Hmong ethnic minority. After that, we will head to Cha Day Village which is home of the Green Hmong hill tribe.
12:00 = Lunch in the local family to learn more about Hmong Traditional food and daily life culture.
After lunch we say goodbye to the host and continue trek around the villages, large Peach Plum and tea Plantation before boarding the van to go back Mai Chau
15:00 – 16:00 =Board the bus and arrive in Mai Chau valley.
