Nestled among the Yen Ngua limestone hills, Hoa Lu once stood as the political and cultural heart of the Dai Co Viet Kingdom, protected by its natural fortresses.

In the afternoon, board a sampan boat in Tam Coc for an unforgettable cruise along the Ngo Dong River, drifting through the iconic cave system — Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba — surrounded by lush limestone karsts and diverse local flora and fauna.
